Yesterday I took a trip to Dalton Outlet Park and had a little wander round the Nike Outlet Store, and came out with this bargain. Nike Free Run 5.0 in a black/grey/white colour-way. I picked these up for a measly £28 when they retail at around £80 or $125.
Running slightly small (1/2 a UK size), I picked up the UK 7.5 (I'm a UK 7), I put them on and they fit like an absolute glove. I am a lover of the Free sole, and I believe that it's a new class of comfort and running quality, the standard of my running has greatly improved since beginning to wear the Free sole with my pair of Nike Free Run +2's.
The lacing system on the 5.0's are much greater than my previous Free Run 2's, the addition of the lacing pull (shown below) means the laces are able to be pulled tight enough to fit the width of your feet perfectly.
Overall I believe the shoe is a fantastic fashion item but also an amazing running shoe. With its new lacing system and slightly modified 5.0 Free sole, the comfort of the shoe is amazing. The only down side is the slightly large fitting, and the slightly ugly toe box/mudguard. Let me know what you think, and get over to my Instagram to see the shoe filled out by my foot (of course).
