Review: Saucony Grid 9000 - Tan/Brown/Orange

I purchased these Saucony Grid 9000's a while ago but it completely escaped my mind to do the review for these. So I'll do it today, why not? I picked these beauties up from Overkill Berlin for £96 including postage from Germany. Shame I could of got them everywhere else a week later for £75.

Sizing - 6/10
Most shoes I seem to be buying recently require me to go up a size from a UK7 to a UK8, but these kicks are a UK7 and I would even say they're slightly too big and I would of been happier with a UK6.5, which is slightly confusing to me, as I have never worn a shoe that small. So this for me is a major downside for this edition of the Grid 9000, but at the end of the day it is still only 0.5 of a size down.

Comfort - 10/10
There is really absolutely no faulting these for comfort, they are hands down the comfiest shoes I have ever owned. The sole unit is so cushioned you find yourself walking on your heels because of the feeling you get when sinking into the sole unit. Absolutely outstanding on the comfort front.

Styling - 8/10
As far as Saucony Original stylings go, I reckon this silhouette is up there in the top 2, if not No.1, for me it's only contender would be the Saucony Master Control. But that is slightly off topic, as a stand alone shoe not being compared with any other Saucony model, this shoe is superb looking. My only criticisms would be; the overly large tongue, and the general clumpyness (I know that's not a word) of the shoe. The tongue simply just stands too tall and no matter what pops out of your Jean and stands forward.

Colour-Way 10/10
Personally I believe this colour-way of the Grid 9000 is one of the best produced by Saucony, I have seen a number of the other recent colour-ways in person, and they simply don't do justice to the silhouette, but this Tan/Brown/Orange compliments the shoe perfectly and doesn't outdo the silhouette itself.

Final Verdict
Overall I really would score this kick very highly as you can see through the sub-categories. The only problem would be the bizare sizing issues, but that surely can be overlooked once the problem is recognised (you simply buy 0.5 of a size down). So in total, the Saucony Grid 9000 in Tan/Brown/Orange scores a very respectful:

Have a gander below at the other pictures of the kick, sorry for the mucky sole, couldn't help but wear them. Really sick kick.
