First of all, you should head on over to their store and Facebook page. But on with the interview ey.
(MN) Can we start with you just telling us a little bit about yourselves?
(OGC) Oh God Clothing is a new independent clothing brand based in the North East which aims to cater for more than one customer group with a wide range of styles such as Skate, Street and British Varsity.
(MN) It's always good to find out about things such as this happening in your local area, as I'm from the North East too. For anyone who isn’t familiar with the brand how would you describe it yourself?
(OGC) We created the company with this in mind as we noticed people starting to wear plain branded tees that were replicated by other independent clothing brands, without any actual passion or creativity involved.
"OGC is a company ran by two brothers who see fashion as so much more than something you wear, fashion is a huge statement that can easily be expressed by anyone."
(MN) Personally I'm sick of all the brands that quite clearly are just creating an apparel brand for simply the money What was the first item you decided to create?
(OGC) The first items we created were of course the logo tees, as most independent clothing brands have also done. We differ from the other brands with the introduction of original designs across different ranges.
(MN) Where do you hope to get your brand in 5 years time?
(OGC) By then we hope to have a global customer base with a following which allows us to introduce our vision to high street stores worldwide.
(MN) Big visions are always the best vision, hope it happens. Moving back to the present though, are you currently working on any new designs?
(OGC) OGC are always working on new designs and ranges which we want to get out to the public as soon as possible, our main focus currently is our summer ranges such as the brand new “CROPPED” range and a few other surprises which will be available very soon!
(MN) We've just got a little fill in the gaps question to finish off with:
(OGC) OGC is best described as a passion with maybe a little bit of style thrown in for good measure.
As I said earlier, I'd get over to their online store today and grab yourself a garm or two. And keep updated with their Facebook too. I thoroughly enjoyed chatting with the lads from Oh God Clothing, and I hope you'll loving shopping there too. Have a gander below at Oh God Clothing's most recent lookbook.
