Restoration: Nike Air Stab - Mango

Me and the boys at Men's Restorations have recently completed the restoration of this Nike Air Stab for one of our clients. It consisted of a full mid-sole paint job, they were pretty beat when we recieved them, and I'd like to say we brought them back to life. Hit the jump to see how we got on.

The soles on the Nike Air Stab are pretty liable to cracking, especially around the 'Stab' detailing. That's exactly what had happened on these Mango beauties. The overall white of the mid-sole had faded, the Orange of the Stabs had all but worn away and the Black trim at the front had faded considerably. Have a gander at the pictures pre-restoration.

Firstly, I took to stripping the original paint-work off (what was left of it), which surprisingly didn't take very long at all (typical Nike Air Stab). Next I marked out the areas which needed to be painted and through down a White base coat taking extra care with the areas which will stay white. The Stabs are easy enough to do and don't take long at all, just a lot of fiddly details which need to be perfect, and finally the Black was touched up slightly just to bring that pop back. Have a gander below at the finished article.
