I usually shy away from Saucony in general, but this recent Distinct Life x BAU x Saucony release has had me considering moving away from Nike's infamous QS releases and looking into a brand, which doesn't over load us with release upon release and more importantly doesn't over charge.
Distinct and BAU have come together on this Saucony 5000 "NOVEM" collaboration to boast their skills and visions. Overall they have created a lovely pack - and in my opinion - Frank the Butcher and Rick Williams have created a classic on the low. The two shoes have quite an original styling to them, with the Navy part of the pack boasting leather and suede, along side Red eyelets and a White mid-sole which really makes this shoe pop. Although we have seen the Navy/Grey colour-way on many shoes in the past such as Air Max 90's and 1's; BAU and Distinct Life seem to keep this colour scheme looking fresh, as if we have never seen it before. This in my eyes is the best of the pack as it can be worn well with most things.
On to the 2nd part of the pack, the Beige/Red variation of the Shadow 5000, this scheme flaunts a suede and textile finish which makes it very different from the Beige/Grey pair, but keeps fresh with pops of Red on the tongue, laces and a touch of Red on the midsole. In my opinion this is a very big collab (and although not very hyped a very clean pack) and each of the pack sports a timeless colour scheme, which we will probably see imitated in the future.
Luckily for you guys this pack is available for purchase right now, so get yourself over to one of the premium retailers that will be stocking, such as; OKI NI, Crooked Tounges or A Few Store.
