Kicks: West NYC x Saucony Shadow 5000 "Cabin Fever"

Most recently from West NYC, we had the very different "Tequila Sunrise". That silhouette told us a lot about the team over at West NYC, confirming to us that they do not play by the book. As we have also seen with their other collaborations, such as the New Balance MT580.

They have yet again pulled apart the Shadow 5000, and put the West NYC stamp upon the model. They have again took the outdoor theme onto a classic runner, as they had done with the MT580 "Alpine". The only aspect of this shoe that really upsets me, is that theres going to be slim chances of it getting anywhere near my collection (and the UK for that matter). Which means I'm probably going to have to pay ridiculous re-sale prices. Although there has not been too much hype over this collab, looking back on other collaborations involving West NYC, the shoe will soon enter most peoples wish list's.

Now onto the shoe itself, West NYC have chosen a lovely balance of Brown suede, Navy leather, Teal ripstop and Red accents which really make this model pop. Interestingly West NYC have chosen to again to go with the very popular speckling of the midsole, but taking it in a different direction to usual. The Navy mid-sole is speckled with Red, creating an almost blood splattering effect. Which really does make you think of the meaning behind the name, is it simply the woodland colour-theme, or is there something a little more dark hiding behind.

All in all the shoe looks to be spot on and perfect for the upcoming winter months as we all know how hard it is to choose what to put on our feet in the cold weather. The shoe looks very well put together and will be made up of premium materials, separating the shoe from the general releases. The shoe can be found at West NYC Priced at $130.
