Over the past year Asics have worked with heavy hitters such as Ronnie Fieg and Bait. This has made other Asics collaborations, when done this well, very very hard to get a hold of. I can see this being the problem with this release.
UBIQ have chosen to celebrate the blossom of spring and to put the harsh winter behind. With flowers and trees in blossom, this shoe is bang on trend for the coming warmer months. The "Midnight Blossom" theme is brought to life with both light and dark hues, pink premium suede panelling at the rear with light pink on the front topped off with a white mesh toe box representing the blossom of the spring trees and flowers. All of which is teamed with a midnight blue mesh mimicking the night sky on the heel of the shoe and side stripes of Gold 3M symbolising the moon. Every little detail of this shoe is placed for a specific reason, and that is exactly what makes a great design.
The shoe and theme are both executed flawlessly, and will be undoubtedly chased by many. They will be dropping May 17th at UBIQ priced at $145 (about £86). There is no worldwide release date as of yet, but stay glued to our Twitter and Instagram pages for any changes on the release front.
