Release Info: Patta x Diadora N9000 - '9'

It's always an exciting day when you read the word 'Patta' on the news list. That is exactly what's happened today, the announcement of the forthcoming collaboration with Diadora has finally came to the press.

Firstly, I have to say that I'm not a huge fan of the whole Diadora collection, but the N9000 does have to be up there as one, if not the, best silhouette they have in their locker. So it was certainly a good model choice from Patta.

As for the theme, it's a little bizzare, but fairly solid. The '9' relates to the shirt number 9 of famous AC Milan strikers; Marco van Basten, George Weah and Filippo Inzaghi. This first, and most obvious part of this theme is the colours of red and black that are synonymous with AC Milan and their famous striped kit, finished off with the pristine white mid-sole and gum outsole really finishing off the colour-way.

Further to this, their are little details that really do remind you how good Patta are at these collaborations; such as the subtle Patta branding to the tongue, the grass patterned in-sole and finally the number 9 embroidered on the heel. These details change this shoe from being a standard Diadora release into a truly great collaboration.

The shoe is set to release on the 21st of June (11:00am) exclusively at the Patta store, shortly after this everything will have their shot at copping via an online release. Take a closer look at the kick below.
