Release Info: Adidas SL72 Vintage - Blue/Legend Ink

Weather you've been following Mens Needs Blog for a while or your relatively new to our posts, you will probably know how much we love an under hyped classic, and this is exactly what Adidas have brought back in the Adidas SL 72, back in its original colours, like nothing else has changed.

We know the SL 72 has been on and off shelves in the past 5 years or so, but its only when it is taken from you, you start to miss it. It's hunger that Adidas seems to play on, unlike rivals such as Nike and New Balance who mainly rely on models like the 1500, 577 and Air Max. Adidas like to store models in the archives, and occasionally pop up with a surprise. This past year has been a perfect example of this, with the return of a forgotten gem, the Torsion Integral and the immensely popular EQT Range. This is partially the reason I am so pleased to see the SL 72 back in original form, the hunger for a fresh pair.

42 years on Adidas re issue the SL 72, staying true to its roots, it is presented in a Blue suede and rip-stop upper, with contrasting White stripes on the sides along side White branding on the tongue and heel and a plush White leather inner lining. All of which is sat upon a Red and Blue midsole rounded off with a vintaged sole.

This vintage Olympic runner can be found at most Adidas Originals stores and Scotts Menswear Priced at £55, which is an example to all with the recent inflation of Sneaker prices!
