MN Best Kicks of 2014 Winners

2014 brought us the second instalment of the 'MN Best Kicks of' awards. This year we've slimmed down the catergories and changed the way we vote for the best overall kick to make the whole thing a better experience. Let's get down to it, here are the winners for 2014'.

Best New Balance: Limited EDT 577LEV

It was a very close fought battle with New Balance, but this beautiful 577 came out on top, just. An honourable mention has to be made to the J.Crew 997 which missed out on joint 1st place by one vote. I did tell you that every vote counted!

Best ASICS: Footpatrol Gel Kayano


The ASICS section of the voting was definitely a different story from the New Balance vote, with the sensational Footpatrol Gel Kayano running away with the votes and grabbing a deserved victory in 2014.

Best adidas: ZX Flux - Multicolour


This one definitely wasn't a surprise. The ZX Flux has been one of the biggest revolutions of 2014, and this multicoloured edition was the first of the big colour-ways and probably the best.

Best Nike: Air Max 97 JCQRD - Rio


It's been a weird year for Nike, with noticeably less big releases coming from them and definitely a lot of new technologies being employed not so well. But this particular Air Max 97 was a huge highlight for 2014 and has now been voted the best Nike of the year.

Best Collaboration: Premier x Saucony Shadow 6000 - Life on Mars


It's been a strong year for collaborations with countless amounts coming out of designers and retailers design rooms from across the world. But Premier have took home to big one and came out with best collaboration of 2014.

Best New Model: ZX Flux


I really don't think this award could have gone anywhere else. Great new model from adidas and definitely one of the biggest kicks of the year, well done adidas and the designers on the ZX Flux.

There we have it. All of the voting for the catergories is done and there's only one left, the big prize.
