Right, let's start with the positives. That colour-way is sensational, perfect mix of out-there reds and subtle greys and whites, bringing that pop that we like to see on Air Max releases without the headache we sometimes also get. The mix of materials really works on the AM1 silhouette, with the jacquard design featuring on the underlay sections with nu-buck/suede to the overlays, finished off with a tape Swoosh. I personally usually hate that tape Swoosh, but here it really compliments the rest of the shoe.
Now on to the negatives. Firstly, that absolutely awful cliff face toe box is back with vengeance! Actually, that's about it for the negatives regarding appearence. But let's just take a moment to look at the price, set to be around $180 (£110), that really is a hell of a lot of money for a humble Air Max 1.
Set for release on the 5th of April, you really better start putting some money away if you're into these. Get down to your usual Nike retailers to get your hands on these, I'd start with Size?.
