We cannot stress how vital it is to put out a good collaboration at the minute, with the next collaboration of any shoe being this weekend, like the rest of them. We believe a good collaboration, if your store isn't already on the map, this can then do so, it can put you up there with the likes of Patta and Footpatrol, which bring in a lot of customers due to the status of these stores in the sneaker community.
We think Laced from Brisbane have absolutely grasped the chance to collaborate with LCS on the Zenith, with two firm hands and have done a flawless job, which is their first collaboration, and a mighty fine pair at that.
With Laced having a similar set up seen in Limited Editions of Barcelona. Specialising in limited edition kicks, limited edition toys and lifestyle products. The store has been getting some well earned recognition for its 9 year dedication to the scene.
Laced have decided to call the collaboration "Banana Benders" due to the nickname given to the Queensland population, due to their laid back nature, the opposite to those living in Melbourne and Sydney, as apparently they say "Queenslanders have nothing better to do than put the bend in their bananas". Laced have also gone for a mainly Maroon colour scheme, due to this being typically a Queensland thing and having the Brisbane river on the footbed, the shoe really is a nod to Laced's roots.
The upper of the shoe is made up of Maroon suede and a White and Grey tight textured mesh, with an Orange LCS Cockerel branding on each shoe. Finished off with hits of Aqua on the eye-lets and subtly on the laces and aglets. The shoe also features a White midsole and the classic gum sole.
Overall, teaming a lovely colour-way, and classic LCS model, the Banana Benders really aren't to be missed. Releasing on March 28th from Laced, and other LCS retailers worldwide such as Hanon, around £80, yet price is to be confirmed and limited to 666 pairs.
